Nimiita is an improvisational album consisting of

Brian Kastan-Guitar, Suke Cerulo-Guitar, Nick Gianni-Tenor Sax & Keys, Erik Egol-Drums.

NImitta is the 1st time this group has played together. All of the music is improvised and encompasses many different vibes, from spacious meditative sounds too hard hitting odd metered rock, funk, latin, and free jazz grooves. Nimitta consist of deep listening as each song creates a musical Mindfulness, Joy, Tranquility, Energy and Group Concentration.

All of the musicians in the group have their own voice thereby creating the energy and sounds of Nimitta.

What does Nimitta mean?

Sanskrit for 'sign', nimitta is a characteristic mark which acts as a sign to identify the experience of deep concentration on entering a jhanic state of meditation.
